Kudus speaks about his debut
After making his first appearance in Lilywhite at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Mohammed Kudus reflected on the incredible reception from the fans, saying it gave him a real boost. While driving forward and taking on defenders is a natural part of his game, he credited his teammates for helping him get into those advanced positions.
According to Kudus, as featured by Tottenham's official website, the support from the crowd added extra energy to his performance, and he was pleased to have contributed to the team’s success, especially with Richarlison finishing off two of his attacking moves with excellent goals.
Overall, the Black Stars player, who impressed in the 2025 Super Cup, expressed pride in the collective effort, the clean sheet, and securing all three points.
When asked about settling into life at Spurs, the ex-Ajax man reflected on a busy pre-season filled with travel, noting that the past couple of weeks have been the first time he’s truly felt settled. He also praised the team’s collective effort throughout pre-season, from the constant travel to the consistent hard work in training. For him, being part of such a competitive, high-level environment is something he values deeply, as the squad pushes together to compete for every trophy.
Kudus sends big warning
While fans continue to lavish the former West Ham star with superlatives, Kudus, who has matched James Maddison's proud record at Spurs, has warned that there’s still plenty of room for growth and much more to come for him as it’s just the beginning of a long journey ahead.
According to Transfermarkt, Kudus scored 19 goals in 80 matches during his two-year stint with West Ham, but he struggled last season, contributing just 5 goals and 4 assists in all competitions. Against this backdrop, the Ghana international is determined not to rest on early praise as he aims to surpass his performances from last season.
