Paris Saint-Germain mounted a stunning comeback to win 4-3 on penalties after Tottenham Hotspur threw away a two-goal advantage in the Super Cup final as Ghana international midfielder Mohammed Kudus shone for Spurs on his maiden competitive debut.
Tottenham’s three-centre-back formation, with Kevin Danso, Cristian Romero, and Micky van de Ven at the back, was highly effective in limiting PSG’s offensive threat in the first half, while Spurs also managed to create their opportunities.

The Europa League champions took the lead just before the break when Micky van de Ven scored from close range in the 39th minute following a free kick. Kudus delivered an impressive display of football, outmanoeuvring PSG's Nuno Mendes with a combination of dazzling skill and raw physical strength to win the infringement.
Spurs fans didn’t have to wait long for a second goal, as just three minutes into the second half, Lucas Chevalier failed to save Cristian Romero’s header across goal, giving Thomas Frank’s side a comfortable 2-0 lead with over 40 minutes to play.
With the game seemingly in Spurs’ control, late goals from Lee Kang-in (85th minute) and Goncalo Ramos (94th) sparked a dramatic equaliser for PSG, sending the match to penalties, where the French side triumphed with a 4-3 shootout victory.
