Partey granted bail after first court appearance
The hearing, which lasted around 15 minutes, marked his initial legal step since the charges were formally filed.
Partey was granted conditional bail during the brief session, which now allows him to continue his professional life while the legal process unfolds.
Though granted freedom to return to his day-to-day life, the bail comes with specific conditions.
He is required to inform authorities of any permanent changes in his residence and must notify them of travel plans outside the country, as noted by GOAL.

Once those terms were laid out, Judge Paul Goldspring addressed Partey directly:
“Thank you,” Partey replied simply, before exiting the courtroom.
His next court date has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 2, at the Central Criminal Court, commonly referred to as the Old Bailey.
Fabrizio Romano's update on Partey's move to Villarreal
With the legal green light granted, Partey’s switch to Villarreal now appears to be going ahead.
Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano confirmed the update on social media, writing on X:
“Former Arsenal midfielder will now join Villarreal as expected.”
Despite the ongoing legal matter, the Black Stars midfielder is pressing forward with plans to continue his career in Spain’s top flight.
According to talkSPORT, the 32-year-old has successfully undergone medical assessments and is expected to pen a two-year deal with the Yellow Submarine.
The contract would keep him at the Estadio de la Cerámica until the summer of 2027.
Although he attracted interest from clubs across Europe and the Middle East, his heart seemed set on Spain.
Villarreal fans oppose Partey's move
Not everyone has welcomed the news of his imminent move.
Some sections of Villarreal’s fan base have voiced concerns, questioning the timing and nature of the club’s interest, given the legal circumstances surrounding the player.
Still, as things stand, Partey appears set for a return to La Liga, where he’ll be hoping to write a new chapter, both on and off the pitch.
