Facing Reading, he was directly involved in both goals as Spurs sealed a 2-0 win, showcasing the flair and intelligence that made him such a coveted summer signing.

Now, a bigger test awaits. Kudus is expected to feature in his first North London derby, even if just a friendly, against archrivals Arsenal.

Footage shared on TikTok and spotted by YEN.com.gh shows the 24-year-old in fine form during training.

In the clip, he weaves between two defenders with ease. He glides past them before surging into the box.

However, the moment didn’t end in a goal, as his final shot lacked the power to beat the goalkeeper.

According to Stat Muse, he has previously played three Premier League matches against the Gunners without scoring.

That’s 270 minutes of football and counting, something he’ll be determined to change.

Meanwhile, the Gunners have strengthened significantly this summer, adding Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard, Noni Madueke, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Cristhian Mosquera, and Viktor Gyokeres to their ranks, per the BBC.

From Nima streets to Spurs stardom

Mohammed Kudus’ journey to Tottenham wasn’t just talent, it was resilience. He grew up in Nima, one of Accra’s toughest neighbourhoods, where opportunity was scarce, and adversity was constant.

The streets weren’t lined with football boots or coaches, just dreams and dusty pitches. At age 13, he caught the eye of scouts from the Right to Dream Academy, where his life began to change. There, he learned structure, discipline, and belief, qualities that would carry him across continents.

His breakthrough at Ajax showcased his raw creativity and tactical maturity, earning praise across Europe.

At West Ham, he quickly became a fan favourite with stunning goals and fearless runs. And now at Tottenham, he steps onto a bigger stage with even higher expectations.

For Kudus, this is not just a move, it’s a mission. A mission to inspire others from similar backgrounds, proving that your beginning doesn't limit your end.
