Fans react to Awudu Issaka's take on Partey's legal issues

The ex-footballer's comments didn’t go unnoticed. They sparked a flurry of reactions on social media, particularly on X, with fans and followers offering a spectrum of opinions.

@AnthonyOsei7 encouraged Issaka to rethink his choice of words:

“Your prayer should be that it's a false allegation.”

@samp39136 echoed the spiritual sentiment with a hopeful tone:

“I pray God listen to our prayers 🙏🔥”

@joejunior566 kept it brief and supportive:

“I pray 🙏 so.”

@AmassRichard3, on the other hand, responded with dry humour:

“Ghana paaa de3 🙂”

@YawOtis, standing firmly by Issaka’s side, wrote:

“It shall come to pass.”

@willingking3, who brought a nuanced perspective to the discussion:

“Typical Black man. Because he has helped you, the truth shouldn't prevail. Siato. The most important thing in these cases is for justice to prevail. I don't think he would pray the same if his daughter or sister were to be the victim, that is, if the allegations are true.”

Thomas Partey's legal issues in the UK

Partey, who recently left Arsenal, is facing six serious charges brought against him by the UK’s Metropolitan Police.

According to the BBC, the alleged incidents occurred in 2021 and 2022. The case involves three different women.

Partey has denied all the allegations. His legal team says he looks forward to the chance to prove his innocence.

“He welcomes the opportunity to clear his name finally,” his lawyer said in a statement.

The Ghanaian midfielder is expected to appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, August 5.

However, this is only the beginning of what could be a lengthy legal process.

Sky Sports has reported that the matter might not go to full trial until sometime in 2026. That means Partey could be entangled in court proceedings for years to come.
