With pre-season in full swing, the Nottingham Forest winger gave fans a different kind of performance, one that had nothing to do with goals or assists.

Hudson-Odoi vibes to Ghanaian classic in pre-season groove
The 24-year-old, currently preparing for the upcoming 2025/26 season with his Forest teammates, was captured by close friend and club colleague Ola Aina in a playful mood.
The Nigerian defender recorded the moment as Hudson-Odoi moved effortlessly to the rhythm, fully immersed in the popular Afrobeat anthem.
It wasn't a solo show, though. Veteran Ivorian defender Willy Boly also joined the party, pulling off some slick steps of his own.
The impromptu dance session brought a fun twist to what’s typically a rigorous time of year for professional footballers.

Speaking to YEN.com.gh about Hudson-Odoi’s love for Afrobeats and his connection to Ghana, Luv FM’s Stephen Zando shared:
“I’m really pleased to see Callum vibing to Ghanaian music, dancing to the classic track by Asamoah Gyan and Castro from 2013 says a lot about his cultural pride. But the bigger question remains: will he commit to playing for Ghana? For me, the answer is no.”
Is Hudson-Odoi eligible to play for Ghana?
Although Hudson-Odoi earned three caps for England back in 2019, he still qualifies to represent Ghana.
FIFA regulations, as cited by Goal, state that a player can switch national allegiance if they haven't played for their first national team in at least three years.
With over four years since his last England appearance, Hudson-Odoi meets the criteria to don the Black Stars jersey.
Hudson-Odoi's Nottingham stumble in pre-season
While the team’s vibe off the pitch was top-tier, things haven’t gone as smoothly in match situations.
Nottingham Forest is yet to pick up a win in pre-season. They opened with back-to-back goalless draws against Chesterfield and AS Monaco before falling 3-1 to another Premier League opponent, per the BBC.

Hudson-Odoi, who didn’t feature in the clash against Monaco, returned to action and played 45 minutes in the most recent outing but couldn't change the tide.
Boly, despite lighting up the dance floor earlier, didn’t get any minutes on the pitch. Aina, the man behind the camera, was also handed half of a football.
Meanwhile, the Tricky Trees have a packed schedule ahead as they continue their warm-up games.
As noted by Flashscore, they face Portuguese outfit Estoril on July 30, followed by a test against Birmingham City three days later.
Then comes a tough challenge against Italian side Fiorentina, before wrapping up pre-season against Saudi Pro League team Al Qadisiya.
The same club recently acquired Ghanaian prodigy Christopher Bonsu Baah from Belgian side Genk.
