“Let’s be honest with ourselves, former Defence Minister, Dr Omane Boamah, clearly stated that all the presidential jets, planes, helicopters, and choppers were experiencing issues and are currently under assessment," she reportedly said.
However, she said the late former Defence Minister Dr Omane Boamah's predecessor, Dominic Nitiwul, debunked the assertion that the presidential jet was faulty, claiming that everything was in good condition.
“Then Mr Dominic Nitiwul came out saying everything is in good condition, but the government simply chooses not to use them.”
Mrs Cudjoe-Ghansah urged Ghanaians to guard against politicising the issues surrounding the presidential jet.
“We cannot keep politicising everything. The reality is this: our presidential aircraft fleet is not in the best shape. Let’s face the facts and stop turning such serious national matters into political footballs,” she stated.
