Controversial TikToker Prince Ofori, popularly known as Fante Comedy, received a hero’s welcome from fellow NPP activists after he stormed the home of Samira Bawumia.

Fante Comedy and Yayrah Abiwu, the NPP’s women’s organiser for North Tongu, were arrested on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, by national security operatives and police officers.

According to a statement released by the Ghana Police Service on Tuesday, August 12, the duo were arrested for threatening the lives of the President, John Dramani Mahama, and the First Lady, Mrs Lordina Mahama.

He was granted bail on Wednesday, August 13 but remained in custody until he met his conditions on Monday, August 18.

Following his release, Fante Comedy sparked outrage after he met former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, who tightly hugged him and expressed support for his actions.

Fante Comedy storms Samira Bawumia’s home

Former Second Lady, Samira Bawumia, celebrated her 45th birthday on Wednesday, August 20.

Fante Comedy stormed her office - where a gathering was held to celebrate her - to express his well-wishes to her.

The controversial TikToker received a warm welcome from fellow NPP activists, who hailed him as a hero and proudly stood by his actions threatening the lives of the President and his wife.
