Paul Adom-Otchere to Report to OSP for Questioning: "My Lawyer and I Will Present Ourselves"

Paul Adom-Otchere, former Board Chair of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), has indicated his readiness to present himself to the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) for questioning.
This comes after the OSP invited Mr Adom-Otchere in connection with an ongoing investigation into a revenue assurance audit contract between GACL and a private firm.

According to media reports, the OSP's investigation centers on alleged corruption and corruption-related offenses arising from the contract.
In a letter dated July 25, 2025, the OSP reportedly named Mr Adom-Otchere as a suspect in the probe.
Reacting to this, Mr Adom-Otchere acknowledged receiving the summons and confirmed his scheduled meeting with investigators.
"The OSP sent me a letter, requesting my presence and then quickly leaked it to the media. My lawyers and I will present ourselves to the OSP today (Thursday, July 31, 2025), at 3 PM for questioning," he said.
The former GACL Board Chair said he and his lawyers will report to the OSP's office on Thursday, July 31, 2025, to answer to the allegations.
Speaking to Accra-based Citi FM on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, the renowned broadcast journalist described the invitation as a "witch-hunt."
Paul Adom-Otchere claims he's innocent
Mr Adom-Otchere further claimed he had no direct involvement in the signing of the contract under investigation.
Mr. Adom-Otchere also questioned why the probe seems to be focused on him, when, as he stated, the relevant management officials, including the GACL Managing Director, are available and were directly involved in the operational decision.

Paul Adom-Otchere is a renowned journalist who has been hosting the Good Evening Ghana show on Metro TV for many years.
On August 30, 2021, Mr Adom-Otchere was appointed as the Board Chairman of the Ghana Airport Company Limited by former President Nana Akufo-Addo, a position he held until the New Patriotic Party (NPP) lost power in the 2024 general elections.

OSP secures first convictions
Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh reported earlier, the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) recorded its first convictions since being established in 2018.
One of the convictions related to the trial of Charles Bissue, former secretary of the defunct Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining.
The special prosecutor was also investigating several high-profile cases, including one involving former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.
