The Vice President of Ghana, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, visited the families of the bereaved families of the helicopter crash victims after their burial service.

The vice president led a high-level delegation, including the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, to offer condolences and assure them of the Government’s support.
In a series of photos seen by YEN.com.gh, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang was spotted interacting with the families, including the widows of Samuel Sarpong and Samuel Aboagye, in a plush residence.

The Vice President also consoled the family members, who were overwhelmed with emotions during the visit, which came a few days after their departed ones were laid to rest in a state funeral on Friday, August 15, 2025.
Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang's private calls underscored her and the NDC administration's continued commitment to stand with the widows and children as they continued to grieve over their losses.

Army presents ranks to deceased officers' widows
Before the vice president's visit to see the grieving families, the Ghana Armed Forces presented the widows of the three officers who died in the crash with ranks and insignia representing their late spouses' new ranks in the military on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.

In a viral photo from the event, the widows of Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manaen Twum Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah were displaying the new honours earned by their late husbands.
Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah was promoted to the rank of Flight Sergeant. Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala was also promoted to the rank of Wing Commander, while Flying Officer Manin Twum-Ampadu was promoted to the rank of Flight Lieutenant days after their tragic demise.

Samuel Sarpong's daughter shares emotional tribute
Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that Samuel Sarpong's daughter shared an emotional tribute to her late father days after he and the other seven victims of the helicopter were laid to rest.
In a TikTok post, Sarpomaah shared footage of her and her family's visit to the cemetery during the burial of their late father.
Samuel Sarpong's daughter also attached an emotional farewell message to her video in honour of her late father.
