In a tribute read on her behalf by a family member, the young widow recounted a now-haunting question her now-deceased husband often asked her throughout their marriage.

According to her, Dr Omane often asked her what she would do when he was not around. She said the question still lingered to this day.

"I never answered, and till today, I don't have an answer," she said.

The tribute was delivered to a silent and visibly moved audience.

She began her tribute with a love story that started with simple, adventurous moments.

She spoke about the night walks she and her late husband used to do to buy a Ghanaian delicacy, kenkey and fish.

She said this simple love ritual they did during courtship became their special hallmark.

Abena Rita also claimed to have seen the qualities of her own father in Dr Omane Boamah.

This connection was mutual; she revealed that when he first met her father, he "knew he had a partner for life."

The tribute reached its emotional peak as she described his role as a father. Despite his demanding schedule, Dr. Omane Boamah, she said, was portrayed as an exceptionally hands-on parent.

She wrote:

"You either bathed the children every morning or dressed them up while I bathed them."
