The wife of Sergeant Ernest Addo-Mensah, who died in the tragic helicopter crash near Obuasi, has broken the hearts of many Ghanaians after a video of her grieving surfaced online.

In a report by Joy News, a delegation led by NADMO Central Director Kwesi Dawood called on the bereaved wife and his family.

Reports indicated that the young woman, who married Sergeant Ernest Mensah on July 5, 2025, had only spent a week before his untimely demise.

In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh, the young widow was overcome by grief as she received the sympathisers at the family home.

Apart from Sergeant Addo-Mensah, seven others - including two Ministers of State - were killed in the helicopter tragedy.

Peter Anala's wife arrives in Ghana

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that the pilot of the Z9 Military aircraft that crashed in Obuasi, had been seen at the wreath-laying site in honour of the accident's victims. Squadron Leader Peter Anala's wife was reported to be abroad when the tragic incident that claimed her husband's life occurred.

She looked sad and devoid of any positive emotions as she arrived at the flower-laying site in front of the Jubilee House in the capital city of Accra. The late military officer's widow was seen holding a bouquet and breaking down in tears as she mourned her husband's demise with family members.
