YEN.com.gh reported that the helicopter, with the registration 9G-AFW, landed near a school around the aforementioned Nkawkaw bypass due to poor visibility and weather conditions.
Fortunately, no one was hurt; however, the incident heightened fears about aviation safety just days after a devastating military helicopter crash that killed eight people, including two government ministers.
Eyewitnesses said the helicopter hovered near the school, briefly assessed the situation, and then touched down safely away from the buildings. The pilot and crew emerged unscathed.
This marked the second such unscheduled landing for the same kind of helicopter within two weeks - raising growing concerns among citizens and aviation experts alike about the reliability of Ghana’s civil aviation protocols.
