A relative of a victim of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) helicopter crash collapsed during the wreath-laying ceremony for the victims.
The grieving woman was saying a prayer for her deceased relative in a video when she suddenly went unconscious and fell to the ground.

Reports indicate that she is a relative of Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna, the acting Deputy National Security Coordinator in charge of Human Security.
Alhaji Muniru was supposed to celebrate his birthday on the day of the wreath-laying ceremony; however, his family was mourning him following the tragic accident.
Ghanaians mourn eight victims of helicopter crash
Ghanaians are mourning the passing of eight victims of the Ghana Armed Forces helicopter crash. The heartbreaking accident occurred on August 6, 2025, when the victims were on their way to Obuasi for an event.
The aircraft reportedly crashed into a tree shortly after it was spotted by community members of Adansi Akrofuom and surrounding areas, hovering in a bush.
Two government officials, Minister for Defence Dr Edward Omane Boamah and Minister for Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation Dr Murtala Muhammed, were on board the aircraft.

Deputy National Security Coordinator Alhaji Limuna Muniru, Former Ashanti Regional Minister Dr Samuel Sarpong, and Former legislator Samuel Aboagye were also on board.
The army personnel involved in the crash were identified as Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manin Twum-Ampadu and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.

Following the tragic incident, President John Dramani Mahama declared three days of mourning for the victims.
A wreath-laying ceremony has also been held for the victims, with their family and friends trooping in to mourn their beloved.
During the wreath-laying ceremony, a relative of Alhaji Muniru, who could not bear the pain, collapsed.

In a video, residents were seen marching to their homes with the wreckage from the aircraft.
