Bright Aweh was recently arrested in connection with the gruesome killing of Stephen King Amoah.
Sources claim Bright's woes have increased since his wife threatened divorce after finding out the truth about his occupation.
Aweh, who was taken into custody earlier this month, has been named as the prime suspect in the murder of the officer, whose charred remains were discovered days after he went missing.
According to investigators, Aweh was the last known person to have met the officer before his sudden disappearance.
Authorities later located the officer’s body, which had been severely burned in what appears to be an attempt to destroy evidence.
Compounding Aweh's legal troubles is reported deception within his personal life. It is alleged that he falsely claimed to be employed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a lie that eventually came to light.

According to the Crime Check Foundation, this revelation deeply infuriated his wife, who has since been contemplating divorce.
The strain on the marriage has reportedly worsened since Aweh’s arrest, and insiders suggest that separation may be imminent.
Crime Check Foundation, however, indicated that relatives of the couple are managing the case to ensure that his wife does not leave the marriage.

Security expert calls for more CCTV Cameras
Security analyst Mohammed Tagna, in a comment to YEN.com.gh, offered expert advice on the issue as part of efforts to help Ghanaians avoid falling prey to such tragic incidents.
He advocated for the installation of effective CCTV cameras in all parts of the country, explaining that the availability of more security cameras would aid in monitoring and surveillance.
"I think there are many ways to put this trend in check. Apart from beefing up security, CCTV cameras, which are working efficiently and are always monitored, should be installed almost everywhere. I believe this can help track and monitor the activities of unscrupulous persons who engage in kidnapping and other criminal activities," he told YEN.com.gh

Officer mysteriously goes missing after meeting a friend
The family of Stephen King Amoah, an officer with the Ghana Immigration Service, lived through anguish after he mysteriously went missing on the evening of Thursday, July 3, 2025.
According to distraught relatives, Stephen left home that evening after receiving a phone call from a close friend who allegedly owed him GH¢200,000.
The friend reportedly invited him to meet at Ashongman Estates, claiming he was ready to settle the debt. Stephen informed his wife of the meeting before leaving home, but that was the last time anyone saw or heard from him in person. He was later found dead, with his body burned.
