A Ghanaian woman decided to break the news of Daddy Lumba's death to her white husband, but she added a bit of a twist to her announcement.

In a humorous video spotted by YEN.com.gh, an unnamed Ghanaian lady married to a white man tried to extort some amount from her husband by using the passing of Ghana's legend, Daddy Lumba.
The woman, based in the UK, recorded the moment she asked her husband if she recalled who the late highlife legend was.

The man, who was sitting on the couch and using his phone at the time, tried desperately to remember the Ghanaian singer.
Jolting his memory, the woman reminded him it was one of Daddy Lumba's songs they played during their wedding ceremony.
Her husband, still looking a bit confused, expressed a bit of condolence to the singer, unaware of what his wife planned.

In a twist, the Ghanaian woman claimed that many people had started making donations to the family of the deceased as a sign of appreciation.
According to her, people who have used his music for one moment or the other are expected to contribute £150 as a heartfelt message to the family.
In her words:
"They say everybody should contribute. Everybody is contributing. No, not everybody in Ghana. It's for those of us who have used his songs for ceremony and other things," she said.

The video ended with the husband giving a positive response, thinking his wife's statement was true.

Daddy Lumba, Michael Jackson comparison harshly criticised
