Kofi Owusu, the family head of Daddy Lumba, has arrived at the residence of the late musician in Accra.

A video, which has since gone viral on TikTok, showed the elderly man draped in mourning cloth, in the company of other mourners, walking to the home of their relative.

Odo Broni's relatives show support

The relatives of Daddy Lumba's widow, Priscilla Ofori Atta, aka Odo Broni, have arrived at the premises of the late musician to show their support.

A video, which has gone viral, showed Roman Fada, manager of Daddy Lumba, exchanging pleasantries with them.

Details surrounding Daddy Lumba's demise

The demise of Daddy Lumba was announced on Saturday, July 26, 2025, by his legal representative, Fati Ali Yallah, in a press release.

The statement disclosed that Daddy Lumba had been receiving medical treatment at the hospital following a brief illness.

A Book of Condolence has been opened at the residence of the late musician, where fans and well-wishers can show their support.

Kofi Owusu has meanwhile retracted the unsavoury remarks he made about Daddy Lumba’s widow, Odo Broni.

Speaking in an interview with Kontonkyie TV, the elderly man disclosed that Odo Broni followed traditional customs in informing him of her husband's passing.

Kofi Owusu then indicated that although he had never met Odo Broni in person, other individuals in the family had, and they admitted that she is a good person.

Looking visibly remorseful, he sought forgiveness for his past utterances and concluded by calling on Ghanaians to support the family as they prepare to bid their beloved farewell.

Family to recognise two widows

Following the arrival of Akosua Serwaa, Daddy Lumba’s first wife, Abusuapanin Kofi Owusu has opened up on what to expect regarding the widowhood rites.

Talking to Kontonkyie TV, Kofi Owusu disclosed that the family had decided to recognise both Odo Broni and Akosua Serwaa as widows of the veteran highlife musician.

Kufuor mourns Daddy Lumba

Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that former President John Agyekum Kufuor had eulogised Daddy Lumba.

The former president, in a statement issued on July 29, 2025, said that the news of Daddy Lumba's death, which occurred on Saturday, July 26, 2025, hit him like a thunderbolt.

Kufuor said he was not aware that Daddy Lumba had been battling any sickness, making his death even more difficult to accept.
