What's the fuss about Taylor's Kumasi visit?
Many people in Kumasi opposed Taylor’s visit because of his past disrespectful remarks about the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and the Ashanti culture.
He also made some insensitive comments against Kumasi traders when fire ravaged the popular Adum market.
He is also a divisive political figure, involved in legal controversies, defamation cases, and public feuds with other media personalities.

Group warns Kevin Taylor
A group calling itself Asante Wɔ Dɔm has warned Kevin Taylor not to set foot in any town in the Ashanti Region, especially Kumasi.
The group's warning comes after the US-based Ghanaian journalist detailed plans to pay homage to some relatives living in the Ashanti Region.
Addressing the issue at a press conference, the group warned Kevin Taylor against his decision to journey to the Ashanti Region.
The group premised its advice because the safety of the loudmouth NDC fanatic could not be guaranteed should he set foot in the Ashanti Region.
They categorically stated that they didn't need him to pay homage to the Otumfuo, given his past remarks.
Supreme Court frees Kevin Taylor
On July 22, in a 4-1 verdict, the Supreme Court quashed a bench warrant issued for the arrest of Kevin Taylor on contempt charges.
This comes after a ruling by Justice Kyei-Baffour in 2020, calling for the arrest of Kevin Taylor was struck off because it was made in breach of the rules of nature
