Background on Dr Kwame Despite's Automobile Museum

Dr Kwame Despite Automobile Museum is a landmark project by Ghanaian businessman/entrepreneur Dr. Osei Kwame Despite, who is known for his work in media, real estate, and philanthropy. Opened on his 63rd birthday in February 2025, this will be the first automobile museum of its kind in Ghana, and possibly the first in West Africa to display a variety of automobiles.

The museum has a large number of vehicles, including classic old cars, modern luxury cars and futuristic electric vehicles such as the Tesla Cybertruck. There are some notable brands, such as Rolls-Royce, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti, and Porsche, and showcases Dr. Despite's love for rare and exotic cars.

From an architectural point of view, the museum is remarkable with modern designs, bold colours, and brilliant lighting systems. The outside is more than attractive, as there are water installations akin to pools. The use of water adds additional luxury.
