In a statement, the ministry said such acts threatened the safety of health professionals.
It also announced plans to beef up security at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital to safeguard staff, patients, and visitors.
Additionally, investigations have been launched into the circumstances surrounding the reported delay in care, with steps to address any identified lapses.
The incident gained public attention after the heated confrontation between emergency ward staff and a group of individuals, including Ralph, went viral online.
The minister of health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, visited the Greater Accra Regional Hospital after the incident.
The management of the hospital also condemned the assault and cautioned the public against taking videos or photographs of patients and clinicians without consent.
The hospital management explained that the Emergency Department is one of the busiest in the country, receiving multiple critical cases daily.
At the time of the incident, clinicians were actively attending to other emergencies when relatives and friends of accident victims stormed the emergency triage.
Their overwhelming presence, the statement noted, disrupted the smooth delivery of care, created tension, and even endangered the safety of health workers. In the chaos, one of the hospital’s dedicated nurses was assaulted, forcing a temporary halt in service delivery.

What did Ralph St Williams do?
Ralph St Williams confronted the health workers at Ridge Hospital, accusing them of operating with "no sense of urgency."
He accused the nurses of watching patients suffer without taking action and giving excuses for their lackadaisical attitude.
In his angry rant, he said:
"There should be a sense of urgency, please. How can you tell me we can't give you pressure because this is Ghana? It hurts. What do you mean by this is Ghana? Do you mean that in this country, people can die like animals and nothing happens? I came with a minor issue, but there are people whose conditions are much worse. The guy's state is terrible, and you're telling us this is Ghana, what does that mean?"
