Chaos On Accra-Kumasi Road As Residents Storm Road To Claim Guinness Beverages Fallen From Truck

Chaos erupted on the Accra-Kumasi Highway near Nkawkaw after a truck carrying crates of Guinness beverages was involved in an incident that caused a significant spill.

Videos online on August 8 showed several crates fallen from the moving vehicle, shattering numerous bottles and littering the road.

The incident attracted scores of residents, some of whom were seen picking up unbroken bottles and carrying away entire crates of the beverage.

Some were even putting crates in metal pans, presumably to carry away.

There was a police man on the scene.

Cleanup efforts on the highway are, however, underway, but traffic delays are expected.
