Hundreds of fans from the Shatta Movement had gathered throughout the day to protest their leader’s detention and to demand his release. Their chants, placards, and unflinching presence became a show of loyalty that caught public attention.

Following hours of interrogation, Shatta Wale was granted bail, initially set at GH¢10 million but later reduced to GH¢5 million.

The musician’s detention stemmed from investigations into alleged money laundering, possession of suspected criminal proceeds, tax fraud, and tax evasion.

The probe was also linked to his luxury cars, particularly the yellow 2019 Lamborghini Urus seized earlier in August by authorities over import tax concerns.
