Footage of Appiah Stadium's interaction with Nana Akufo-Addo triggered many mixed reactions, considering how the controversial NDC supporter had been a harsh critic of the former president throughout his political career.
In 2017, the political commentator landed in the custody of the Ashanti Regional Police after he alleged that the former president abused hard substances.
Appiah Stadium was held at the Kumasi Central Police Station to assist with investigations into the allegations. He was later given a police enquiry bail.
Later, the staunch NDC supporter apologised to Nana Akufo-Addo over his unsavoury comment. The former president also directed the police to drop the case against the controversial serial caller.
