Adjoa Pee: Veteran Actress Complains of Neglect From NDC Despite Past Campaigns

Veteran Ghanaian actress Helena Maame Adwoa Petreba Pieterson, popularly known as Adjoa Pee, has lamented the lack of support from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) despite her past campaigns for them.

In an interview with media personality Emmanuel Agyemang, popularly known as Bro Emmanuel, the actress shared that she had spoken to some leaders of the party for support since she returned from the US to Ghana.
However, she had not received any reward from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) since they returned to power despite being one of their ardent campaigners since 2012.

Adjoa Pee stated that she noticed in 2012 that some alleged individuals within the NDC had blocked the opportunities she should have received from President John Dramani Mahama and First Lady Mrs Lordina Mahama.
She said:
"I started talking with some top party officials after they returned to power. I wanted us to talk because I have been campaigning for them since 2012, but they have not done the needful in return for me."
"I started noticing from 2012 that some people had blocked the way for them to give me what I deserve. They came and stood in the way of the president and his wife doing the needful for me."
The veteran actress also opened up about her contributions to an NDC supporters group in Kpone and past exploits with the First Lady.

Adjoa Pee noted that she had submitted her CV for an appointment over three months ago but had not heard back from some top officials in the party.
She added that she had even visited the Jubilee House and undergone several processes, including speaking with the prominent individuals at the presidency, but had not received any positive feedback from them.
Adjoa Pee's remarks come months after some of her colleagues, including Kala Kumasi, called on the NDC to reward their campaign contributions with prominent positions in their government

The veteran Kumawood actor was given the role of Deputy Political Coordinator for the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC).
Sylvester Agyapong's big political appointment was confirmed by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, on social media.
