His colleague musician, Albert Apoozore, popularly known as King Ayisoba, has paid a touching tribute to Daddy Lumba.

King Ayisoba, who recently visited Daddy Lumba’s family house in East Legon to mourn and share his condolences, deeply admired the late legend.

During an interview on Accra FM, Ayisoba was seen holding his kologo while singing Theresa by Daddy Lumba in a humorous manner.

Though they were mourning, the host of the interview couldn’t hold his laughter at Ayisoba’s hilarious delivery, especially because he is not fluent in Twi.

Following Lumba’s passing, King Ayisoba wrote on social media:

Just three weeks before Daddy Lumba’s death, King Ayisoba met him at Jubilee House.

On July 1, 2025, John Mahama hosted a luncheon for senior citizens to mark Republic Day (Senior Citizens’ Day).

The event brought together legends including Daddy Lumba, King Ayisoba, Azumah Nelson, Rocky Dawuni, and Samia Nkrumah, etc.

That luncheon marked the final time Ayisoba would see his beloved colleague alive.
