"Daddy Lumba's passing is a big loss to the whole country and the entire music industry. He wasn't just a musician and icon who transformed lives. Losing him feels personal to many of us who grew up with his music and eventually had the privilege to work with him. Ghana has lost a true legend."

Meet Akosua Serwaa, Daddy Lumba's first wife?

Akosua Serwaa's journey as Daddy Lumba's first wife began in the vibrant music scene of 1980s Germany, where they first crossed paths.

During their time together, she played a critical role in his burgeoning career, even financially supporting the production of his debut album, Yɛɛyɛ Aka Akwantuo Mu, which was released in 1989 under the Lumba Brothers duo alongside Nana Acheampong. Together, they are parents to four children.
