Veteran Ghanaian musician Akosua Agyapong caused a stir at the home of late musician Daddy Lumba as she displayed her dance moves to one of his biggest hits.

Agyapong visited Daddy Lumba’s home on Thursday, July 31, 2025, to express her condolences to his family and pay her respects.
The visit came after the highlife musician, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, died on Saturday, July 26.
Lumba fell ill at his home and was transported to the Bank Hospital in Cantonments, Accra.
He died at the hospital at the age of 60, leaving behind a mountainous legacy of influence over Ghanaian music.
Daddy Lumba started his career in the late 1980s and, over the subsequent years, released over 30 albums and hundreds of songs.
His biggest hits included Aben Wo, Dangerous, Akwanoma, Theresa, Sika, Mensei Da, Yee Ye Aka Akwantuomu, and more.
Widely recognised as arguably the greatest Ghanaian musician of all time, Daddy Lumba’s death has sparked nationwide mourning, with celebrities and influential individuals from all walks of life visiting his home to mourn with his family.
Akosua Agyapong visits Daddy Lumba’s house
Veteran Ghanaian singer Akosua Agyapong joined the throng of prominent Ghanaians mourning with the Lumbas with a visit to his East Legon residence.
In a video seen by YEN.com.gh, Agyapong arrived at the home to questions from bloggers recording her movements.
She was asked if she missed the late music legend, to which she replied that she did.
Akosua Agyapong then stated her favourite Lumba memory was his 1998 hit, Aben Wo Ha, off the album of the same name.
She demonstrated her fond memories of the massive hit by singing and dancing along to it.

Akosua Agyapong signs Lumba condolence book
The veteran musician entered Daddy Lumba’s mansion after her dance display, where she entered an appropriate sombre mood to greet his family.

In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh, Akosua Agyapong was seen being ushered into the inner part of the house to meet Lumba’s family.
She signed the book of condolence after the meeting in honour of the departed singer.

Nana Ampadu’s wife visits Lumba’s family
Previously, YEN.com.gh reported that Nana Ampadu’s wife visited Daddy Lumba’s family to mourn with them over his death.
Joyce Ampadu, in a video, described the late Lumba as a kind person who gave her money for upkeep after her husband's passing in 2021.
Her narration stirred warm social media reactions as many Ghanaians praised the kindness of the late singer.
